Anna Kortschak

Anna brings over fifteen years of experience using arts-based approaches to support self-reflection, communication, participation and community engagement, working with young people and adults in Australia and internationally. Her work has included supporting people experiencing emotional, social and mental health challenges, as well as facilitating creative and community-based processes with diverse groups.

With a background spanning visual arts, international and community development, and art therapy, Anna works with individuals and groups to explore experiences through creative processes. She is interested in the capacity of art-making to create space for reflection, expression and connection, and to support people in developing new perspectives on themselves and their relationships with others.

Anna has lived and worked in Brazil, Panama, the Czech Republic and the UK and travelled widely elsewhere. She is passionate about forging robust connections, culturally, socially and environmentally, across diverse communities. Anna speaks passable Spanish and Portuguese and a smattering of other languages.

Anna returned to Australia, in 2019, after almost 20 years abroad. She is now settled in Melbourne and has planted a garden.
